Honouring the Land and Our Relations

CES is honoured to live and work throughout a diversity of Indigenous lands, in which we are committed to fostering and growing meaningful relationships with the individuals, communities, and natural world which sustains us. The care and stewardship of these relationships stem from learning from Indigenous Nations, the original caretakers of these lands since time immemorial. We strive to honour our relationships with the land, water, and other beings that we live in community with so that we can preserve them for our future generations. In this interconnectedness, we walk together with the responsibility of protecting the natural world, fighting injustice and colonization, caring for all of our people, and sharing with others in the spirit of respect, reciprocity, understanding, and love.
